Glossary

Information architecture is the practice of structuring information (knowledge or data) for a purpose, and according to the context in which it is based and how people will interact with it. Often used for bigger sites that have a lot of content, information architecture covers categorising content, metadata and tagging, usability and ‘findability’ – making it easier for people to find what they are looking for. Information architecture is considered to be a major element of user experience design.
